HERMISTON Edward Elliot Fite died Saturday, Feb. 24, at his home in Hermiston at the age of 58s.

Ed was born in Greenfield, Mo., on July 24, 1942, to Byron and Anita Porterfield Fite. He had been a resident of Hermiston for the past 22 years, and had owned and operated Fite Sheet Metal for several years. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge, and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Navy. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and golf.

He is survived by his mother, Anita Fite of Greenfield, Mo.; five daughters, Eileen Burke of Naperville, Ill., Ellen Comeaux of Bothell, Wash., Stephanie VanDonge of Walla Walla, Wash., Michelle Fite of Philomath, and Danielle Fite of Hermiston; brothers, Daniel Fite and Darryl Fite, both of Greenfield, Mo., and Farron Fite of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Bonnie Fite of Greenfield, Mo., and Rita Townlinn of Springfield, Mo.; four grandsons; and four granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. Disposition was by cremation.

Memorials may be made to the Hermiston Elk Lodge in memory of Ed Fite. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
