HERMISTON Good Shepherd Medical Center will have a new neighbor this year.

Dr. Michael Warner teamed up with Pacific Western Homes to build a new medical complex on four acres across from Good Shepherd.

Chet Antonsen, president of Pacific Western Homes, said he hopes to begin construction on phase one of the project on the northeast corner of Eleventh Street and Elm Avenue by mid-April.

We were looking to build some quality space for professionals, Warner said.

The complex will consist of four buildings with three being constructed during the first phase of the project.

The main two-story, brick medical office building will be about 38,000 square feet and house various medical offices.

It is going to be a beautiful building, Antonsen said.

He said they currently have about 22,000 square feet committed to medical professionals and they are looking to add to that total.
