Hermiston girls end season with 44-36 loss

PORTLAND The Hermiston Bulldogs were 1-2 in the OSAA-U.S. Bank Girls Basketball State Championship Tournament last week, winning the second of three games for the second win in the schools tournament history.
The Bulldogs lost the opening round game to Springfield 62-47 before eliminating St. Marys Academy with a consolation win 72-62. Corvallis ended the Hermiston season Friday with a 44-36 victory.
Hermiston posted a 21-6 overall record for the season and won the Intermountain Conference with a 12-3 mark. They were the only IMC team to represent the league in the state tournament and made their fifth appearance in the event in the past six years and their sixth consecutive playoff bid.
