Margie Lauro Shade

HERMISTON Margie Lauro Shade of Irrigon died Thursday, March 1, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston at the age of 87.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, on July 22, 1913, to Jacob and Jennie Montgomery Hinkley. She was a member of the Stokes Landing Senior Center, Garden Club, Lady Lions and the Grange.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Shade; and three brothers and three sisters.

Margie is survived by two sons, Raymond M. Shade of Irrigon and Frank D. Shade of Burbank, Wash.; daughter, Ruth Sullivan of Irrigon; brother, Rogie Hinkley of Odgen, Utah; two sisters, June Farley of Ogden, Utah, and Ellen Born of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held Monday, March 5, at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon. Memorials may be made to the Stokes Landing Senior Center in Irrigon. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
