Rosa Maria Nava

PATTERSON, Wash. Rosa Maria Nava died Sept. 4, in Patterson, Wash., as the result of a car accident at the age of 29.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1972, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Jose and Socorro Carranza Cabral. She was raised and attended schools in Peoria, Ariz.

She moved to Oregon and married Lucino Nava Gonzales in Umatilla. They moved to Irrigon in 1982 and had lived there since. She had worked for Watt Brothers Frozen Foods in Patterson, Wash., since 1997 until the time of her death.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking, reading and spending time with her children.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Lucino Nava Gonzales of Irrigon; son, Lucino Nava Jr. of Hermiston; daughters, Jessica and Cynthia Nava, both of Irrigon; parents, Jose and Socorro Cabral of Peoria, Ariz.; brother, Jose Cabral Jr. of Peoria, Ariz.; and sisters, Josefina Einon, Maria Gutierrez, Carlota Cabral and Mayra Cabral, all of Peoria, Ariz.

Recitation of the Rosary was held Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Sept. 6, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Burial will be held in The Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, Ariz.

Those who wish may make contributions for Rosas children. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
