Vivian Margaret Erickson Schwartzkopf, 87, died on Oct. 24, 2006.

Vivian was born on Nov. 23, 1918 to Charles and Margaret Keck in Brooking, S. Dak. She married Raymond Erickson at Brooking on July 6, 1941. They moved to Fargo, N. Dak. in 1948, and then to Moorhead, Minn. She was a homemaker.

Raymond died in 1978. She moved to Hermiston in 1985 and married Ralph Schwartzkopf in November 2000. Ralph died in July 2001.

Vivian was a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a present member of the First Christian Church in Hermiston.

She is survived by daughter Elaine and son-in-law Robert Koester of Stanfield; son Paul Erickson of Waco, Texas; grandsons Steven Koester and wife Cari and Tony Koester of Hermiston; Dr. Michael Koester and wife Sarah of Eugene; Dr. Christian Erickson of San Francisco; and granddaughter Lynnea Erickson of Waco, Texas; also seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16. Memorials may be made to either Trinity Lutheran or First Christian churches.
