Ethel I. Horn-Male

HERMISTON Ethel I. Horn-Male died Sunday, July 8, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston at the age of 79.
She was born April 5, 1928 at Dunsmuir, Calif., to Leo and Bertha (Eades) Clendenen. Ethel was born in California but lived most of her life in Oregon. She graduated from high school in Sweet Home. She was a resident of the Hermiston area since 1969. She was a member of the Grange in Boardman and of the Columbia River Harvesters (an organization who helped feed the elderly) called the “Gleaners.” Ethel enjoyed crocheting, knitting, hunting, fishing, crabbing, and the outdoors.
She is survived by three sons, Regie Horn of Hermiston, Mike Horn of Portland, and Bill Horn of Umatilla; daughter, Harlene Rogers of Irrigon; brother, Homer Clendenen of Tillamook; sister, and Carleen Owens of Forest Ranch, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Harold Horn, Joe Rodriguez, and Glenn Male; three brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside funeral services were held on Thursday, July 12, at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia River Harvesters in Boardman.
