COLUMBIA BASIN SPRING SHOOT OUT JACKPOT EVENT, 6 p.m. at the Umatilla County Fairgrounds, Hermiston. The horsemanship and shooting event is free for spectators. Dressed in old West attire, participants ride horses and shoot targets for prize money.

“THE WORST HIGH SCHOOL PLAY IN THE WORLD,” 7 p.m. at the fine arts theater at Hermiston High School. Cost is $4 for adults, $3 for students without ASB cards, free for students with ASB cards, $2 for senior citizens and children. SATURDAYSOROPTIMIST ANNUAL YARD SALE, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1495 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston. Proceeds go to the Women’s Opportunity Award, the Violet Richardson Awards, to assist the Domestic Violence shelter and Umatilla County foster children. To donate items, bring to the sale or call 567-9409 to drop off in advance. Donations are tax deductible.

COLUMBIA BASIN SPRING SHOOT OUT, 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. at the Umatilla County Fairgrounds, Hermiston. The horsemanship and shooting event is free for spectators. Dressed in old West attire, participants ride horses and shoot targets for prize money to be handed out Sunday.

KRAZY HORSE QUILTERS 7TH ANNUAL QUILT SHOW, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Pendleton Convention Center, 1600 Westgate. Admission $3. PENDLETON SWIM ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER GOLF TOURNAMENT, 9 a.m. shotgun start, Wildhorse Resort Golf Course. Entry fee $50 per person ($35 for Wildhorse members). Includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and a meal after the competition. Prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.

CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION, all day at the Boardman Marina Park. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., soccer tournament; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., volleyball tournament; noon-2 p.m. softball tournament; noon-12:30 p.m., American and Mexican flag salute; 12:30-1:30 p.m. clown show; 1:30-6 p.m., music and dancers; 6 p.m., raffle; 6:30-7 p.m., talent show; 7-10 p.m. dance. Raffle tickets are available for $1 from event coordinators, the Boardman Chamber of Commerce or at the event until 6 p.m. No alcohol allowed.

CINCO DE MAYO PARTY, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon, 400 S. Main St., Pendleton. All ages welcome. Cost for members $2, non-members pay $5, and lunch is included. Advanced sign-up is required. Contact Patty Rose at 276-1066.

REGISTRATION FOR AMBASSADOR SOCCER CAMP, 8:30-11:30 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 1350 S. Highway 395 and during Hermiston’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration. Ambassadors of Sport, including 16 international coaches, will conduct the camp July 8-12 in Hermiston and is open to boys and girls, ages 6-14. Cost is $100 if registered before Monday.
