A local meeting will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hermiston Conference Center, 415 S. Highway 395.

BLM managers are developing an analysis of the management situation, the first step in the updating the 19-year-old resource plan. The analysis summarizes existing resource conditions and trends and will be used in evaluating management alternatives.

Mark Wilkening, public affairs officer, said revising the resource plan will help guide the management of natural resources, activities and use of public lands for the next 15-20 years.
