‘Suspicious activity’ leads to 4 arrests

Hermiston police have arrested three adults and detained a minor in connection with illegal drugs.
Officers served a search warrant at about 2:30 p.m. Friday at 345 E. Dogwood Ave., Apt. A.
Lt. Jason Edmiston said the agency obtained the warrant after receiving a report of “suspicious activity” at the home.
Once there, police arrested Shane Seufert, 21; Heidi Vangorder, 21; Buddy Bartell, 34; and detained a 15-year-old male.
Umatilla County Department of Human Services assisted with the investigation and removed an infant child from the home.
Police arrested Seufert and Vangorder for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Bartell for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of methamphetamine
Police detained the teenager for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and for possession of tobacco.
Police booked the adults in the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton and the juvenile in the Umatilla County Juvenile Detention Facility.
