Dr. Jeremy Anderson’s patients have a new office to go to, now that Anderson has opened his own practice.

Anderson split from his practice with Dr. Richard Carpenter in June. His new office is next door to the office he shared with Dr. Carpenter in Suite E25 at Good Shepherd Medical Center. However, Anderson and Charles Turner, physician’s assistant, will move to the new Good Shepherd Medical Center medical building when it is completed at the end of this year.
“I think we will be the first tenants,” said Anderson’s wife, Laura.
Anderson graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and spent two years in the U.S. Army, where he was the chief of surgery at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Anderson said he and his family like living in Hermiston and were attracted to its small-town feel.

“I grew up in Alaska in a small town,” Anderson said. “I love it (in Hermiston). I am not going anywhere. Laura loves it here, too.”
Anderson believes strongly in giving back to his community. He practiced sports medicine at the rodeo, works with the Tri-City Americans hockey team and with the schools.
Anderson came to Hermiston two years ago and specializes in orthopedic medicine. His specialty is shoulder arthroscopy and he said he is the only doctor in the Northwest who does this type of shoulder repair surgery. Anderson also does everything from joint replacements to foot surgery.
“The hospital has invested over $100,000 in state-of-the-art surgery equipment,” Anderson said, “so we can provide quality care. There is no reason to go to Portland or the Tri-Cities. We do it here, patients don’t have to go anywhere else.”
