A fight in a parking lot in the 100 block of Northeast First Street early Saturday morning resulted in one man being taken to Portland with three stab wounds and three men arrested for their alleged involvement in the stabbing.

Hermiston Police responded to a report of a fight at about 1:22 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot. Jordan Hull was stabbed once in the neck and twice in the head, said Chief Dan Coulombe. Paramedics took Hull to Good Shepherd Medical Center, then to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland for evaluation. Legacy Emanuel records indicate Hull was released by Monday morning.

Ramon Edward Coronado, 21, of 1890 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston, was charged with one count of first-degree assault, one count of first-degree attempted assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and one count of third-degree assault.

Richard Anthony Coronado, 27, of 13442 N.E. Sandy Blvd., Portland, was charged with one count of third-degree assault and Ramon Coronado, 44, of 1890 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston, was charged with one count of third-degree assault.

Police took all three to the Umatilla County Jail. Ramon Edward Coronado still was jailed Monday on $206,000 bond.

Coulombe said alcohol was “definitely a factor” in the altercation. The incident still is under investigation.

“Our officers investigating this incident did a great job with a quick conclusion to this crime,” said Lt. Jason Edmiston. “Typically the first 12-24 hours after a crime has been committed is critical before an investigation can potentially become stagnant.”

The department received assistance from the Oregon State Police and the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office. The Umatilla County District attorney’s office also assisted.
