Echo Fur Trade Encampment this weekend

The public is welcome to wander through the Echo Fur Trade Encampment Friday-Sunday in Echo.

The camp will open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

There will be awards for the Most Primitive Camp, men’s knife throwing, fire starting and women’s rolling pin toss, cooking contest and handy work and more.

The camp is located off Sprague Street in Echo in the woods along the Columbia River in a Cottonwood tree grove. There will be signs. For more information call the Echo City Hall, (541) 376-8411.
