Arturo “Art” Rodelo

Arturo “Art” Rodelo, 40, of Boardman died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the Boardman Marina as the result of drowning.
Mr. Rodelo was born April 17, 1970, in Mexico to Luis Rodelo Medrano and Jovita Rodelo Carrillo. He was raised in Stanfield, graduating from Stanfield High School in 1988.
He worked for Nor-Pac, Safeway, and UPS in Hermiston for a time before going to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. He worked at Hinkle as a firer/oiler for the last 13 years. He lived in Hermiston until moving to Boardman in 2005. He was a volunteer fireman in Stanfield for several years.
Mr. Rodelo is survived by his parents, Luis Rodelo Medrano and Jovita Rodelo Carrillo of Hermiston; brothers Manuel Rodelo of Boardman and Jose C. Rodelo of Hermiston; sister Marcie Rodelo of Boardman; five nephews and a niece; and grandparents Agustin Carrillo and Elvira Rafael of Mexico.
Rosary was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Funeral mass was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 1 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Burial followed at the Hermiston Cemetery.
