Pacific Power seeks plans for solar projects

Pacific Power is inviting potential solar energy developers to submit proposals for large scale solar generation projects beginning July 1.
Projects need to be between 100 and 500 kilowatt capacity, be located in Oregon and at sites served by Pacific Power.
The request is another element of the Oregon Solar Incentive Pilot Program, approved by the 2009 legislature with the intention of promoting more solar generation of electricity in the state.
Projects will be evaluated based on lowest energy cost. Pacific Power will post proposal guidelines July 1 with all proposals due Aug. 12. Decisions will be made by Sept. 2.
