Heather Lyn Stout, 47, of Hermiston died Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in La Grande. At her request, no services will be held. Disposition was by cremation.

Ms. Stout was born Oct. 11, 1963, in Hermiston to Robert Leo Bob and Donna Sharon (Davis) Stout. She was raised in Hermiston and lived in Portland for 20 years, where she worked as a secretary. She returned to Hermiston and worked at the Desert River Inn in Umatilla.

Survivors include her mother, D. Sharon Peck of Meacham; stepfather David Dodge of Meacham; sisters Karrie DeVore of Pasco, Wash., and Robin Nessly of Gresham; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Stout.
