Stanfield Library to host program party

The Stanfield Public Library is ending its 2011 summer reading program with magic and a splash.

Open to everyone especially those who participated in the summer reading program the party begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, in East Coe Park.

An annual event to end the program, the party will feature a wading pool, water slides and a performance by Ronald McDonald, including magic tricks. Summer reading awards will also be distributed, and hot dogs will be served.

Visitors should dress for the weather, and children who wish to participate in the water activities should wear appropriate clothing.

The Stanfield Public Library Summer Reading program spans six weeks during June and July. This year, the library offered programs for preschool children, school-age children and teenagers, bringing in between 85 and 100 participants.
