The Hermiston Kids Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center.

Children ages 4-12 are encouraged to participate in this non-competitive event, which includes swimming, bicycling and running. Pre-registration is required.

No experience is necessary, and children are divided into waves based on age. Parents are encouraged to volunteer.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
