From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, volunteers will host a car wash to raise money for a Umatilla High School student dealing with a skin disorder.

Monica Bernal has been diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, a skin disorder often caused by an allergic reaction to medication, either over the counter or prescribed. Stevens-Johnson Syndrome occurs primarily in children and young adults.

The car wash will take place at Carlsons Umatilla Drug Store, 821 Sixth St., Umatilla.
