Too close for comfort

A road worker directs traffic after a Thursday afternoon accident involving a pickup and a farm truck. Terra Starr, 17, was driving a late model Dodge half-ton pickup home after a day at Warehouse Beach when her vehicle collided with a Walchli Farms truck on Highway 207. Starr and two passengers suffered minor injuries, and all were wearing seat belts. The driver of the farm truck, Felipe Pena, appeared to be uninjured and said he had stopped to allow a semi to pass before making a left turn onto Edwards Road. Pena stated in the 15 or 16 years he has worked for Walchli Farms, this is the first accident in which he has been involved.
