Ben Cannon, education policy advisor to Gov. Kitzhaber, talks with fourth-graders during a tour of McNary Heights Elementary on Monday afternoon. Cannon visited each of Umatilla School Districts three schools as part of his listening tour. Umatilla was selected as an innovative and successful district. Cannon has also visited Salem-Keizer, Woodburn and Bend-La Pine schools, as well as Portlands Roosevelt High School and Clackamas Middle College in North Clackamas School District.
