obit Lois Graybeal

 

Lois Vernell Graybeal was born March 18, 1928, in Freewater, Oregon, and was the daughter of Merritt and Artie Worden. Lois graduated from Hermiston (Ore.) High School on May 23, 1946.

She worked at Ordinance Housing Project, Ordinance Ore., during the WWII effort. Lois married Max Graybeal of Umatilla, Ore., on May 22, 1948.

Lois spent 30 years as the Library Processing Center Supervisor for Walla Walla School District #140.

She retired in 1988 and then lived full-time at their beautiful Wallowa Lake home in Joseph, Ore. They moved to Casa Grande, Ariz., in 2000 and remained at the Fairways community until her passing the evening of February 2, 2012.

Lois was preceded in death by her father Merritt and mother Artie. She is survived by sister Patsy Manson, husband Max and sons Gary and Jerry. She has three grandchildren: Josephine, Reiss, and Macy.

Private family interment will be held at a later date.
