<p>A 68-year-old Pendleton man and a 17-year-old Hermiston woman were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center Thursday afternoon with minor injuries after a collision on Highway 395 and Sturgis. Destany Adams, an area resident, was driving a 2007 Chevy Cobalt in in the southbound lane of Highway 395 when Michael Hutchinson allegedly pulled out in front of her from the left turn lane traveling northbound on Highway 395. Oregon State Police responded to the scene at 1:50 p.m. Hermiston Fire and Emergency Services also responded to the scene.</p>

A Hermiston area girl and a Pendleton man were in fair condition Thursday afternoon after both were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center for minor injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision at the corner of Highway 395 and Sturgis Street.

Oregon State Police responded to the scene at 1:50 p.m.

Destany Adams, 17, was driving a 2007 Chevy Cobalt in the southbound lane on Highway 395 when Michael Hutchinson, 68, of Pendleton, who was driving a blue pickup, allegedly pulled out in front of her from the northbound left turn lane for unknown reasons, according to OSP personnel.

Both drivers were treated in the emergency room and undergoing further evaluation, according to Good Shepherd spokesman Mark Ettesvold.

Trooper John Lombardi said Hutchinson had visible minor injuries including cuts and bruises on his right arm. Hutchinson was also wearing a neck brace when transported to Good Shepherd.

Adams complained of some back pain, Lombardi said.

Lombardi confirmed Adams was wearing a seat belt but was unsure whether Hutchinson was wearing his seat belt. Airbags in both vehicles were deployed, Adams said.

No one was cited in the incident but there is a pending investigation, Lombardi said.

Hermiston Fire and Emergency Services also responded to the scene.
