<p>Fire engines, tankers and other equipment were on display Saturday during the Stanfield Fire Department's 100th Anniversary Celebration.</p>

A steady crowd stopped by the Stanfield Fire Station on Saturday to help the department celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The Stanfield Fire Department was formed on Aug. 13, 1912, with very little equipment, and 100 years later, the department has six vehicles and a fully supplied station at 2800 W. Coe Ave.

Stanfield serves the city, about 52 miles outside the city limits and responds to mutual aid calls for other local departments for both fire and ambulance services.

Stanfield Fire Department staff includes one full-time chief, one part-time clerk and 13 volunteer firefighters.
