Audrey Mae Hardeman

Audrey Mae Hardeman was born on March 10, 1931, in San Bernardino, California, to parents Elmo and Evelyn Ellis Young. She died on September 8, 2012, at home in Hermiston, Oregon, at the age of 81 years.

She was raised and attended schools in San Bernardino and Riverside, California. Audrey was united in marriage to James Hardeman on October 31, 1947, in Tulare, California. They lived in Gladstone, Oregon, for over 45 years, where they raised their children.

Audrey moved to Columbia, Missouri, after Jim passed away and then relocated to Hermiston, Oregon, where she has lived for the past 15 years. Audrey attended Living Faith Church in Hermiston and enjoyed reading, sewing, art, supporting missions, and helping those in need, especially children.

She is survived by her son: Mark Hardeman, Columbia, Mo.; daughter: Marty Rhodes and her husband Mark, Irrigon, Ore.; grandsons: Seth, Ethan, and Joseph Rhodes; granddaughter: Laura Barnett and her husband Rob; and a great-grandson: Eli Barnett.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hardeman, and an infant son, Daniel Hardeman.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Living Faith Church, 1611 Diagonal Blvd., Hermiston, OR 97838.

A private burial was held at Mountain View Cemetery, Oregon City, Oregon.
