Mark Egertson, 69, of Lynden, Wash., was born on September 18, 1945, to Rev. Kermit G. and Joyce (Wareberg) Egertson, and died on December 20, 2014, due to a diabetic coma.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife, Sharon Johnson Egertson at the family home in Lynden; his son Leif (Shannon) and their children Destani, Kaylea, Kierin and Kasen; daughter Ingrid Egertson French (John) and their children Rachel, Kianna, Raelinda, Noah, Sadie and Lily; and son Soren and his son, Sevrin. Mark is also survived by his sister, Maren (Egertson) Oppelt (Michael) and their children Monicza and macKenzie; brothers-in-law Steven (Linda), David, Jim (Nancy) and the late Thomas Johnson; his mother-in-law Sophie Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to Lutheran World Relief, Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp or to your local church in Mark’s memory.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon, Wash.
