Clyde and Betty Nobles of Umatilla were married March 4, 1955, at the First Baptist Church in Hermiston. That church was located at the corner of Highway 395 and Gladys Avenue, which is currently the site of a service station.

The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during a recent two-week vacation in Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Both Clyde and Betty graduated from Umatilla High School, in 1952 and 1954 respectively, and Clyde from Oregon State University in 1960. They have three children, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
