Hermiston Foods celebrates 25th anniversary

Hermiston Foods celebrated its 25th anniversary Sunday.
General Manager Trent Waldern said about 250 employees, family members and dignitaries gathered at an event to thank the community and the employees for support for more than two decades.
Waldern said the Hermiston plant has about 40 full-time employees right now but employees more than 250 people seasonally.
He said about 75 employees were recognized at the event for more than 10 years of service, including three who have been there for 25 years.
“We’ve had a real strong group that’s been here from the start,” Waldern said.
Representatives from NORPAC Foods, of which Hermiston Foods is a subsidiary, attended the event and thanked the employees for their dedication.
