Jack M. Davidson Concord, Calif. January 29, 1930-February 24, 2016

Jack M. Davidson, 86, passed away February 24, 2016, at the Veterans Hospital in Martinez, California, following a short hospitalization.

Jack was born January 29, 1930, in Orin, Washington, to Harry and Beatrice Davidson. His family relocated to Pendleton where Jack attended Pendleton High School. He graduated from Washington State College (now WSU) where he was president of his fraternity and a member of R.O.T.C. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Air Force with a commission of 2nd Lt. Following his military service he lived in Oakland and in retirement in Sonoma, Calif., until moving to Concord, Calif. to be close to his son and family during his illness with Parkinson’s over the past several years.

He is survived by his son Jeremy and wife Elizabeth, and grandchildren Gavin and Emma, the joy of his life, all of Concord, Calif.; a sister, Bernice Cary of Pendleton; a brother, Bill Davidson of Beaverton, Ore.; and several generations of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers (including Lillian Sorensen and, most recently Howard “Pat” Davidson, both long-time residents of Pendleton).

He was honored by a military flag ceremony at the VA hospital in Martinez, Calif., and will be buried at the VA cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
