Jan A. Vyhnal Heppner November 12, 1934-May 10, 2016

Long-time Hermiston/Heppner resident Jan A. Vyhnal, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 10th. Mr. Vyhnal was born November 12, 1934, in Prague, Czech Republic, to parents Jan Vaclav and Anna Buerova Vyhnal. 

He served as a paratrooper in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed at J & M Pipe Manufacturing and worked for Marlette Mobile Home Manufacturing for 27 years.

He enjoyed his peace and tranquility on his property in the mountains above Heppner. He loved to run and stay fit. He will be remembered for his singing, he would often sing Czech songs for family and friends.

He is survived by children Pete Vyhnal, Juanita Gonzalez, John Vyhnal, Angi Ringering and Katrina Brood, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many family members in the Czech Republic. 

Private services will be held.
