Tom and Ida Serface

Tom and Ida Serface of Hermiston are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb. 16, 1952, in Stevenson, Wash.

The couple lived in Sweet Home, Deerhorn, Westfir and Bonneville, Oregon, before moving to Hermiston 44 years ago. Tom worked as a power house operator before opening his own insurance firm, Serface Insurance Agency. Ida was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. They are both retired.

Tom is an avid golfer at Echo Hills Golf Course and enjoys square and round dancing, which he teaches as a member of Columbia Grange in Hermiston. He also served as Exalted Master of Tuscan Masonic Lodge #136 and is a member of the Hermiston Elks Lodge.

Ida also is a member of Columbia Grange and enjoys gardening, sewing, square and round dancing. She is also a SMART Reading volunteer in Hermiston schools.

Joining the Serfaces in their celebration are their daughter Diane Serface and son Dan Serface, both of Hermiston, and daughter and son-in-law Paula and Mike McKay of Albany. They have a granddaughter, Morgan Wadlow and her husband Bryan, also of Albany, and two great-grandchildren, Royce and Maggie.

Congratulatory cards may be sent to the Serfaces’ home address in Hermiston.
