In response, county officials and local businesses have coordinated to help affected people. Some homeowners, having discovered their water is unsafe, have been given filtration systems.

In other news, a fire destroyed a warehouse in Hermiston. Firefighters said the structure had stored fuel, which led to several explosions. One person was injured.

Also, a broken line in Hermiston leaked gas, causing some local residents to evacuate and traffic to be redirected until the following day.
