Irrigon elects city council members

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, the three Irrigon candidates for city council with the highest amount of votes were granted positions in the city’s government.
Of the seven candidates on the ballot, the three who secured seats on the council were Michelle Patton, Heather Bishop and Benjamin Calvert.
Patton, who secured the most votes out of any candidate for the position, won with 17.3% of the vote, totaling to 196 ballots submitted with her name.
Bishop received 16% of Irrigon votes to grant her the second seat on the council, with votes totaling to 182, giving her the position.
Calvert was the third candidate to be elected to the Irrigon city council, picking up 178 votes in his name, totaling to 15.7% of the counted votes.
