- Matthew Brown and Kevin Lochridge return from a fishing adventure Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, on the Columbia River at Umatilla. The pair were among attendees at Fish'n the Brave, an event honoring veterans.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Hermiston Herald!
In the latest edition of our newspaper, we covered a pair of local Veterans Day events. Echo hosted a parade. Then, the following day, Hermiston had a Veterans Day breakfast. Both events were well attended, and we took pretty good pictures.
More parties are to come, and Community Editor Tammy Malgesini told us all about them. She wrote an article that listed several local Thanksgiving events.
Not all news was happy, though, as we covered the death of a man found in his car. Authorities told us that Shawn Rice, a Hermiston resident, apparently drove his car into a construction pit.
