- Tiny plastic snowmen light up Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, during the Festival of Lights at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center in Hermiston.
As we recently celebrated Thanksgiving and are now looking forward to Christmas, the Hermiston Herald is in prime event-coverage mode.
Reporter Beau Glynn turned in a story for us on the Community Fellowship Dinner, held Thanksgiving Day at Hermiston High School. Around 600 meals were served, and there were around 150 volunteers.
Over at EOTEC, many holiday displays are lighting up the grounds. Photographer Yasser Marte took pictures for us, and we devoted a full page in our print edition to them. You can see the photos online at the link above.
Among other stories, there is also a feature on former Morrow County Sheriff Ken Matlack. He devoted 40 years to policework, and he has plans for his retirement.
