Who are you and what do you do?

I am Austin Joseph Erickson. I am a barber. I’ve been a barber for close to 14 years. A father of two, a boy and a girl.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Hermiston.

What are a few of your hobbies?

Besides cutting hair, full-time daddy, so dad, that’s my No. 1 hobby probably. I enjoy music. Working out, fitness, fitness is huge.

How do you spend your free time?

With my kids, whatever they want to do, that’s what I do.

How would you describe yourself?

Caring. Yeah, that’s a good way to describe me. I care about people.

What is something that you’re passionate about?

It’s a tough question, I’m passionate about a lot of stuff. Family and business are the two things I’m the most passionate about. Passionate about growth, the kids growth, seeing my business grow.

What are a few of your proudest accomplishments?

Biggest accomplishment, for me. Aw man there’s a list. Related to work and business, the “Cuts of Love Project” that you guys covered. Where we did free haircuts for the homeless and low income families.

What do you like most about the community you live in?

I would say the people in our community are so supportive. If you have a good idea or a good business people in our community are going to help you grow, really. Yeah, that’s pretty much it.
