Tuesday, Jan. 10

4:53 a.m. A 911 caller on Interstate 84, Boardman, reported it was really foggy and the silver SUV in front of him did not have its tail lights on.

10:11 a.m. Boardman Police Department received a report of fraud/forgery.10:52 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston, on a report of a burglary.

11:50 a.m. Umatilla police responded to Clara Brownell Middle School on a report of a fight.

2:15 p.m. A caller at Switzler Storage, in Umatilla, reported a break-in at one of the the units. Umatilla Police Department took a report.

6:41 p.m. Emergency services responded to Highway 730, in Boardman, on a report of a T-bone car crash with one car on its side. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the wreck.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

9:10 a.m. A 911 caller reported a burglary on Dean Avenue, Umatilla.12:48 p.m. Emergency services responded to Southeast Fourth Street and East Newport Avenue, Hermiston, on a report of a two-vehicle crash with one person injured. Police issued a citation.

Thursday, Jan. 12

3:10 a.m. A 911 caller reported a prowler on Canal Road, Hermiston.7:55 a.m. Hermiston police responded to the 900 block of Northwest Stockton Street on a report of an assault. Police took a report.

8:16 a.m. Stanfield police responded to a report of a disturbance at the Food Basket on North Sherman Street, Stanfield.

1:41 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on Southeast Idaho Avenue, Irrigon, for a 58-year-old-man who recently had a stroke and also was widowed. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies checked on the man and found he was OK.

1:42 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Irrigon Elementary School, Irrigon, on a report of a student with two knives in his backpack.

2:16 p.m. A caller on Southwest Second Street, Irrigon, reported someone used her credit card without her permission. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

3:33 p.m. Umatilla police received a complaint about a theft at Umatilla Speedwash Laundry. Police took a report.

7:01 p.m. A caller reported three men in the Les Schwab parking lot in Heppner may have been breaking into a vehicle. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.

7:26 p.m. A 911 caller reported a fight on North Townsend Road, Hermiston.

8:50 p.m. A woman reported she received a call that her son on Daytona Lane, Hermiston, may have hit her mother.

Friday, Jan. 13

12:17 a.m. Numerous emergency service agencies responded to the eastbound side of Interstate 84 between mileposts 182 and 180 for a wrong-way dark colored SUV. Oregon State Police reported the driver was suffering from medical issues. An ambulance took her to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston. Police found the driver, a 61-year-old woman, was a missing person in Idaho.

10:04 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Hendon Construction, in Umatilla, on a report the theft of a vehicle.

10:47 a.m. A 911 caller on Daisy Lane, Hermiston, reported a burglary. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded.

10:58 a.m. A detective with the Kennewick Police Department asked to talk with a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy in regards to a felon from Morrow County who tried to buy a gun. The sheriff’s office made contact.

11 a.m. A caller reported she believed a bullet struck her car’s windshield while she was driving on Highway 730, Boardman.

4 p.m. A caller in Highway 204, in Weston, made a report of fraud/forgery. Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

11:02 p.m. A caller reported gunshots in the area of Division Road and Southeast Wyoming Avenue, Irrigon. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded but found no one shooting.

Saturday, Jan. 142:29 a.m. — A 911 caller on Curlew Street, Umatilla, reported hearing shots fired. Umatilla police responded.

7:04 a.m. Emergency services out of Boardman responded to the rest area on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near Boardman for a male who collapsed in the restroom. An ambulance took the male to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

8:55 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Pollock & Sons, Hermiston, on a report of a burglary.

10:47 a.m. A caller on Olson Road, Boardman, reported she was assaulted. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded and began an investigation.

11:03 a.m. A resident on Hilltop Road, Boardman, reported she believed someone is poisoning her cats. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office made contact.

11:41 a.m. A caller on Lakeview Heights on Willow Creek Road, Heppner, reported an assault. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded and arrested a 33-year-old man for harassment.

4:06 p.m. — Umatilla police responded to El Monte Street on a report of a restraining order violation.

8:42 p.m. — Umatilla police responded to Hemlock Court and Lewis Street on a report of a domestic disturbance.

Sunday, Jan. 1510:32 a.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received notice that staff at the former U.S. Army Chemical Depot would burn off ammunition in closed barrels in case anyone calls about hearing gunfire.

1:12 p.m. A caller reported a horse was on the loose for several days along Highway 74, Heppner.

1:46 p.m. A resident on Hilltop Road, Boardman, reported someone hit her mailbox and smashed it. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded and fixed her mailbox.

5:04 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that two people at St. Patrick’s Senior Center, Heppner, were trying to take hubcaps off a car in the back parking lot. A deputy responded and found the people were buying a car and switching tires.

6:18 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to West Jefferson Street, Athena, on a report of a court order violation.

8:09 p.m. Hermiston police responded to the 1800 block of North First Street on a report of an assault.

9:27 p.m. Stanfield police responded to Patriot Heights, in Stanfield, on a report of a domestic disturbance.

9:32 p.m. Hermiston police responded to East Loop Road, Hermiston, on a report of shots being fired.

Monday, Jan. 1612:55 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Space Age Fuel Station on Highway 207, in Hermiston, on a report of an attempted assault.

4:45 a.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Irrigon Shell Station, East Highway 730, on a report of a domestic disturbance involving a man coming into the gas station and spilling hot coffee.

7:25 a.m. Boardman police initiated activity at Malheur Street and Anderson Road after recovering a stolen silver Honda Accord. Police took a report.

11:30 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to South Townsend Road, in Hermiston, on a report of the theft of a vehicle.

5:28 p.m. A caller on Depot Lane and West Eight Road, Irrigon, reported there was a large bull out by the road. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and were unable to locate the bull.

5:28 p.m. A caller on Depot Lane, Irrigon, reported that a black angus keeps hanging around his haystack. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.

6:22 p.m. A caller on Northeast Eighth Street, Irrigon, reported her daughter and granddaughter were attempting to take her 1-year-old-granddaughter away. The caller stated the child’s mother does not have custody. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

7:32 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Crossroads on Sixth Street on a report of the theft of a vehicle.

Arrests, citations

Jan. 10

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office at 1:44 p.m. received a request for a welfare check from a woman who said a man has been locking himself in her mother’s garage on Northwest Tumbleweed Boulevard, Irrigon. The sheriff’s office responded and arrested Hiram Parker Paul Vickery, 60, on a Umatilla County warrant and an Oregon State Parole Board warrant.

Hermiston police arrested Miguel Alexis Garcia Garduno, 22, for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Jan. 11

Oregon State Police at 10:04 p.m. responded to the rest area near Boardman on the westbound side of Interstate 84 for a vehicle that collided with a fence. The trooper arrested Salomon Martines, 29, for DUII.

Jan. 12

Umatilla police arrested Victoria Landeros, 23, for second-degree criminal trespass, contempt of court, violating probation and six warrants for failure to appear.

Jan. 13

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Laurie Dawn Merrell, 52, for identity theft, second-degree theft, third-degree theft and five counts of fraud by credit card.

Jan. 15

Oregon State Police arrested Fredrick Patrick Ball, 27, for second-degree kidnapping, coercion and menacing.

Umatilla police arrested Jose Luis Andrade, 46, for fourth-degree assault, menacing and first-degree invasion of personal privacy.
