EO Media, the company that owns the Hermiston Herald, is launching a newspaper, The Tribune.

For anyone who is worried about print journalism, the creation of a new paper in Medford, Oregon, is good news. The Tribune will replace a paper that was recently discontinued — the Medford Mail Tribune.

Meanwhile, we continue putting out our own, local stories in Hermiston. earlier this week, we attended a Hermiston Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, and we published a story on that.

Also, we covered Heppner, as the town grieved over a couple who meant much to many. They moved to Heppner and locals embraced them. When they died in a recent car crash, the town was heartbroken.

Other stories filled out paper — a female wrestler who cut weight to compete, Echo’s efforts to reduce flooding and more.
