Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Ladonna Hale. I am the owner of Belladonna Cookies, and a mom of four.

Where did you grow up? When did you come to Hermiston?

I grew up in several places. Most of my childhood was spent in Stanfield. I lived in Mexico for about four years but then moved back to Stanfield for a short time. I graduated from Umatilla High and shortly after moved to Hermiston for about six years. I ended up moving to Idaho for a while but I came back to Hermiston and have been back home for almost two years now.

What are a few of your hobbies?

At first, cookie decorating was my hobby but that became my business. I do enjoy listening to music, watching true crime documentaries and doing my nails.

How do you spend your free time?

Whenever I have free time, I love spending it with family and friends. I also love watching my daughter Bella play soccer. (Go lady dawgs!)

How would you describe yourself?

This was a hard one. I feel like there are so many ways to describe myself but if I had to pick a few, it would be creative, ambitious, adventurous and caring.

What is something that you’re passionate about?

I’m passionate about my business. I’m constantly thinking of ways to improve, grow and become the best cookier I can possibly be.

What are a few of your proudest accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment would have to be my ability to run a business while also being a stay at home mom. It has been the most difficult but rewarding experience so far.

What do you like most about the community you live in?

I don’t even have to think twice about this one. Definitely the people in our community. From the moment I moved back home, everyone has been so supportive and have helped my business grow tremendously. I’m so thankful for that.
