Posey

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Desiree Posey, and I am a portrait and event photographer in Hermiston and the surrounding area, but my most important job is being a mom.

Where did you grow up? When did you come to Hermiston?

I was born and raised in Hermiston. I have lived here my entire life.

What are a few of your hobbies?

Aside from photography, I also love interior design and finding creative ways to organize my home.

How do you spend your free time?

I spend most of my free time with my family. We love to take the kids to the park and keep busy with the youth sports programs through the city. I also love to watch movies and am the kind of person who has to Google the movie to see what year it was made, who the cast is, etc.

How would you describe yourself?

I’ve always been an outgoing introvert. I really enjoy being home and having time to myself but I’m also very talkative and love connecting with others. I am also funny, hardworking and kind.

What is something that you’re passionate about?

I love photography and being able to create but I am most passionate about my family.

What are a few of your proudest accomplishments?

Personally, my proudest accomplishment is being a mom. I want to be the mom that I needed growing up and I want to support my children and watch them grow up to be amazing people. Professionally, I am proud of my work ethic. I have always put my whole heart into my work projects.

What do you like most about the community you live in?

What I like most about the community is how family oriented it is. I love that the city has a lot of events for families as well as a variety of sports programs for kids. I’ve taken photos for Hermiston Parks and Recreation for the last several months, and I love being able to help document these events. I also love that Hermiston has grown so much over the last several years, and I think it’s important to be involved in the community and to show our children the importance of being involved so that we can continue to grow.
