Richard “Rick” James Sandford III, 53, of Ione, died Dec. 6, 2022, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, in Heppner. He was born Nov. 11, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii. A celebration of life will be Feb. 25, 11 a.m. at Ione American Legion Hall, 325 W. Second St., Ione. Afterwards people may stay for Rick’s favorite music, a video/photo show by his daughters and a potluck. Arrangements are with Sweeney Mortuary of Heppner.
