Monday, March 20
12:37 a.m. Hermiston police responded to South Highway 395 on a report of an armed subject.
4:01 a.m. Umatilla police responded to Sonesta Street on a report of the theft of a vehicle.
4:39 a.m. Boardman police responded to Bella Vista Estates on a report of a prowler after a caller stated her dogs were barking and she saw someone running from her house.
7:26 a.m. Umatilla police responded to John Day Street for a noise complaint.
8:15 a.m. Hermiston police received a call about a burglary on 600 block of East Main Street.
10:55 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Schulz Lane, Hermiston, on a report of a burglary.
12:14 p.m. A caller on East Elm Avenue, Hermiston, reported a customer wrote them a bad check and they would like options on what to do. Police responded.
1 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Sonesta Street on a report of a disturbance.
1:04 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies initiated activity at Irrigon High School, Irrigon, after students made comments requiring a risk assessment.
1:23 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Pleasant View Road, Umatilla, on a report of aggressive dogs getting out of their yard and causing issues around their neighborhood.
4:39 p.m. A man came into the Hermiston Police Department and reported his landlord has accused him of selling drugs from his home. The man stated he does not sell drugs and would like to know what he should do. Hermiston police advised the man.
4:52 p.m. A caller on Southwest Eagle Drive, Boardman, reported there was a group of people standing outside her neighbor’s front door and it seemed suspicious. Police responded.
5:02 p.m. Boardman ambulance services responded to Boardman Foods on a report of an employee who got chemicals in their face. The ambulance transported the patient to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.
10:43 p.m. A caller at Irrigon Shell Station on Highway 730, Irrigon, reported there was an injured cat behind her car and she did not know if she hit it or what she should do. Dispatch advised the woman on what to do.
Tuesday, March 21
1:32 a.m. Umatilla police responded to Umatilla Avenue after receiving a noise complaint regarding a blue Dodge Charger revving its engine.
8:09 a.m. A caller on Southeast Chase Street, Heppner, reported three dogs, a light golden lab, a black dog with white markings and a third dog the caller did not describe, got out of their yard, again. The caller stated the dog’s owner was in jail and someone has been taking care of the dogs in his absence. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.
11:16 a.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Irrigon Elementary School after the school resource officer reported a suspicious text message with references to child abuse.
12:04 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies, Boardman police and other Boardman emergency services responded to Shoemake Road, Boardman, on a report of man who had been assaulted with an ax handle. A report was taken.
12:41 p.m. Umatilla police responded to McNary Heights Elementary School on a report of restraining order violation.
4:03 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Little Tots Daycare & Preschool LLC, Hermiston, on a report of littering. Police took a report.
Wednesday, March 22
7:09 a.m. Hermiston police responded to Northeast Gladys Drive on a report of the theft of a vehicle.
7:55 a.m. Hermiston police responded to West McKenzie Avenue on a report of a domestic disturbance.
11:23 a.m. A caller at the Hermiston Vet Clinic reported a customer was possibly drunk and her breath smelled like alcohol. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded.
11:38 a.m. A caller on Highway 207, Heppner, reported his tenants were moving out of his rental unit and one of the tenants threatened to remove the garage door when he leaves. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies made contact with the landlord and advised him of his options.
12:59 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies and other emergency services responded to Crum Road, Ione, on a report of backyard on fire due to a burn barrel that got out of control.
3:01 p.m. A caller on Boardman Avenue Northeast, Boardman, reported her neighbor’s dog defecated in her yard. She stated the owner picked up the feces but normally does not pick up after the dogs and this is an ongoing issue. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.
4:22 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Warehouse Beach on Highway 730, Umatilla, on a report of the theft of a vehicle.
4:45 p.m. A caller at Irrigon Shell Station, Irrigon, reported someone was selling drugs behind the restaurant in a gray van with Washington plates. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.
9:50 p.m. Hermiston police responded to Southwest Ninth Street on a report of someone setting a dumpster on fire.
10:04 p.m. A caller on Faler Road, Boardman, made a noise complaint about loud music and a lot of yelling and loud singing from a trailer. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded but were unable to locate anyone being noisy.
Thursday, March 23
7:47 a.m. A caller on Rippee Road, Boardman, reported their neighbor’s dog keeps coming onto their property and attacking their animals. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.
1:55 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Second Street on a report of a burglary in progress.
3:52 p.m. A caller on Froberg Lane, Irrigon, reported his wife was intoxicated and having a mental breakdown and was trying to light garbage on fire. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and put the couple in contact with Community Counseling Solutions.
10:18 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies initiated activity on Northeast Main Avenue, Irrigon, for a broken window in the door of a business.
Friday, March 24
6:35 a.m. A caller reported her daughter got a flat tire and is at Irrigon Shell Station, East Highway 730, but there is no air pump available. The mother requested someone go assist her daughter in changing the tire. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and assisted.
9:15 a.m. A caller at Easterday Farms, Boardman, reported their home was burglarized and an all-terrain vehicle and some tools are missing. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.
12:23 p.m. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a log note of a large plane flying low in the area of the Willow Creek Dam, Heppner.
2:51 p.m. A caller on North Wayne Street, Stanfield, reported a man made threats to harm a woman’s ex-boyfriend. Stanfield police began an investigation.
5:24 p.m. A caller on Southeast Alfalfa Street, Heppner, reported his neighbor had a dead deer in her yard and he wanted the city to remove it.
7:32 p.m. A caller on West West Street, Lexington, reported there was a blue F150 pickup parked outside his house that he thought was weird. He spoke to the driver, whose name was Mike, and Mike told him he had been given this address to meet a woman he met online. The caller stated the man drove away and he will be keeping an eye out for if he comes back. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a log note.
8:01 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Walla Walla Street on a report of a burglary.
Saturday, March 25
5:46 a.m. A caller on Southeast Kristin Drive, Irrigon, reported the house across the street from him has a black German shepherd that barks all the time and wakes him up. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded but were unable to locate the dog.
10:46 a.m. A caller on North H Street, Ione, reported a theft and requested a law enforcement escort to retrieve the stolen property. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office attempted to contact the man back but were unable to reach him.
11:32 a.m. Hermiston police responded to the 800 block of West Division Avenue on a report of a burglary.
5:05 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Tri-Harbor Landing Apartments on a report of a disturbance.
5:33 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Northwest Water Street, Heppner, on a report of harassment.
5:42 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Wenatchee Street on a report of a domestic disturbance.
6:24 p.m. A caller on Southeast Utah Avenue, Irrigon, requested an officer contact them regarding someone painting their fence.
Sunday, March 26
7:53 a.m. A caller on McElligott Road, Ione, reported her daughter kept some steers on her boyfriend’s land and since they broke up she has been having trouble getting back her livestock. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and took a report.
8:12 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Honeysuckle Lane, Weston, on a report of a burglary.
10:43 a.m. A caller on Southeast Greenwood Street, Irrigon, reported the theft of a travel trailer and windows broken out of the mobile home on the property. She stated she hadn’t visited that property in a few months so she is not sure when it might have happened. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and took a report.
7:25 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to South Highway 395, Hermiston, on a report of the theft of a vehicle.
8:15 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Columbia Boulevard on a report of a domestic disturbance.
11:18 p.m. Umatilla police responded again to Columbia Boulevard on a report of a domestic disturbance.
11:40 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Southeast Utah Avenue, Irrigon, on a report of a domestic disturbance.
Monday, March 27
7:16 a.m. A caller with Potelco, Inc. at Division Road and Depot Lane, Irrigon, reported there has been some scap-metal stolen from this site recently. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.
9:48 a.m. A caller at Irrigon Marina, Irrigon, reported someone stole a door off of one of the bathroom stalls in the women’s bathroom. The marina is attempting to locate security video footage. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
10:35 a.m. A caller on Downy Road, Boardman, reported her neighbor’s Husky dog has been chasing her livestock. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and made contact with both parties.
10:47 a.m. Hermiston police responded to Southeast Eighth Place on a report of a domestic disturbance.
3:56 p.m. Hermiston police responded to East Main Street on a report of a disturbance.
4:35 p.m. A caller on Northwest Butte Drive and West Ridgeway Avenue reported they found an abandoned bicycle in a ditch by the dirt road. The caller stated it looked like someone had tried to cover the bike up and there is still paperwork attached to it as if it just came from the store. Hermiston police took a report.
7:12 p.m. A caller with the Irrigon Park District requested a deputy make contact with him at the fire hall at Irrigon Marina, Irrigon, during their meeting. The caller stated they had some restrooms vandalized over the weekend, and while they do have some pictures, their security cameras are not working at the moment so there is no footage. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded and took a report.
Arrests, citations
March 20
Oregon State Police arrested Christopher Diego Lomeli, 19, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol) and reckless driving.
Umatilla police Kenneth Jannon Norton, 34, for harassment and first-degree burglary.
Umatilla police arrested Noe Viesca, 47, for resisting arrest, third-degree escape, violating probation, contempt of court and on six warrants for failure to appear.
March 21
Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Crescencio Carvajal Sanchez, 33, for violating probation and fourth-degree assault.
Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Maria Anita Price, 39, and Jonathan James Price, 41, on probable cause warrants out of Umatilla County for second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief (vandalism), first-degree aggravated theft, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy.
March 23
Hermiston police arrested Jonathan Theodore Flaman, 19, for second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief (vandalism) and second-degree theft.
March 25
Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason Edwin Beers, 46, for possession of a stolen vehicle.
March 27
Hermiston police arrested Jordon Douglas Mitchell, 30, for vehicle theft and on three warrants for failure to appear.
Oregon State Police arrested three men after responding to a report of suspicious activity.
A trooper a little after 6 p.m. contacted the occupants of a Ford F250 pickup on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 202. The trio inside were “highly intoxicated,” according to OSP, and Johnny Ellery Smith, 34, of Warm Springs, admitted to driving.
OSP took Smith to a mobile processing vehicle in Hermiston, and after he vomited several times he then refused a breath test, state police reported. Police arrested Smith for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
OSP also arrested the two passengers, Jasper Wayne Smith, 33, and Mario Louis Smith, 41, both also of Warm Springs, on probation violations. All three ended up in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.
