Who are you and what do you do?

I am Jennifer Berry. I grew up in this area and I am a certified dog trainer. I own Lucky River in Umatilla. We do day care, boarding and training.

Where did you grow up? When did you come to Umatilla?

I grew up here. I have been here for most of my life. We got married and my husband was in the military so we left town for a few years. And when it was time to leave the military and come home, this is where home was for us.

What are a few of your hobbies?

We farm so I love farming and taking care of my animals and my kids. Being with my kids and my animals.

Would you say that’s how you spend most of your free time?

Yep.

How would you describe yourself?

I’m super outgoing. Unfortunately, I am not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m very outgoing and I’m very honest and not everybody can handle that.

What is something that you’re passionate about?

Dog training and saving aggressive dogs.

What are a few of your proudest accomplishments?

Opening my business in this current location. I have been open in Umatilla before. It didn’t go quite as planned. I don’t know if it was lack of advertising on my part or if it was just that the community wasn’t really ready for me at that time. But I’m proud of myself for not giving up and for trying again.

What do you like most about the community you live in?

How open and receptive they have been to accepting my business into this town.
