What are a few of your hobbies?
I enjoy volunteer work as I have been a part of Key Club since freshman year and have been involved with many volunteer activities with some being with the Agape House, Festival of Trees and multiple park cleanups. I also enjoy computer programming and have participated in programming websites for organizations.
How would you describe yourself?
I am someone who is very reliable, honest and trustworthy. As a senior, I have taken on a lot of responsibility with the number of projects that take time in and out of school. I have become a student whom my teachers always look towards when representing someone to others to follow.
What is something you’re passionate about?
I am very passionate about technology and community engagement. I have been a part of technology classes throughout all my years of high school and have applied my skills for the benefit of others. I have taken many dual credit classes in high school for computer science and continue to further my education in that field.
What are some of your proudest accomplishments?
Being the valedictorian at Hermiston High School because I had to take a multitude of advanced classes and I pushed myself to always improve. I am competing in nations for Future Business Leaders of America in Atlanta, Georgia for cybersecurity. I also worked on an e-commerce website for Hermiston High School and sold school apparel on the website making a profit for the school.
What do you appreciate the most about Hermiston?
The community because I have always been involved with my community and I appreciate how well other peers and adults have committed their time to always find a way to give back.
What are your future plans?
I am currently an intern at Umatilla Electric Cooperative and plan to continue that over the summer. I am going to Blue Mountain Community College where I am finishing up my transfer associate of science in computer science during the school year 2023-2024 and then transferring to Oregon State University where I will continue in computer science.
