Who are you?
My name is JoLee Palmateer. I’m a senior graduating from Echo.
Did you grow up here?
Yes, I grew up on my family’s ranch outside of Echo. I have attended the Echo School District since the second grade.
What are a few of your hobbies?
I enjoy playing volleyball, I also like to paddleboard in the summer.
How would you describe yourself?
I am an outgoing and friendly person. I am a service-oriented individual who likes to keep busy.
What is something you’re passionate about?
I am very passionate about spending quality time with my family. I have a wonderful family that has supported me in every aspect of my life.
What do you appreciate the most about Echo?
I have loved the small town/small school community that Echo offers. I have experienced firsthand the unity and support that living in this wonderful community creates. The unwavering support of my community has not only pushed me to achieve my academic goals but has also provided me with a strong sense of belonging and pride.
What are your future plans?
I will be attending Columbia Basin College Community College in Pasco this fall. I will be working toward a bachelor’s of applied science degree in dental hygiene. After completing my degree, I hope to serve a small community, similar to the one I grew up in.
