First responders and educators participate in a school safety summit for the InterMountain Education Service District hosted Aug. 8, 2022, at the Pendleton Convention Center. The IMESD Board of Directors meets Wednesday, July 26, 2023, for a retreat and board meeting in Pendleton.

Umatilla County Board of Commissioners, biannual meeting with Community Counseling Solutions Executive Director Kimberly Lindsay, 9 a.m., Umatilla County Courthouse, Room 121, 216 S.E. Fourth St., Pendleton (Douglas R. Olsen, 541-278-6208).

InterMountain Education Service District, board retreat and meeting. The retreat will be at 9 a.m. and the board meeting will be at 2 p.m., InterMountain ESD, 2001 S.W. Nye Ave., Pendleton.

Agenda items: Annual designations for 2023-24.

Tuesday, Aug. 1

Boardman City Council, 7 p.m., city hall, 200 City Center Circle, Boardman (541-481-9252).

The Boardman City Council will hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance for the proposed North Boardman Urban Renewal Plan.

The proposed spending limit (maximum indebtedness) for the North Boardman Urban Renewal Plan is $27 million. The projects in the plan are mostly street projects to improve the traffic flow in the area.

The ordinance, if approved, is subject to referendum. The adoption of the plan does not increase property taxes.
