STANFIELD — Hermiston native and registered nurse Abbey Royer is bringing a new service to the area: Drip I.V., which delivers intravenous vitamin hydration and intramuscular B12 injections.

“Hydration IV therapy injects fluids directly into your bloodstream so your body can deliver the fluids where you need them most,” she said. “It’s a faster, more efficient way to hydrate your body.”

Royer offers an extensive menu for those seeking her services.

“Right now, I offer five different IV drips: a Hangover Cure, Immunity Boost, Migraine/Pain Relief, Myers Cocktail, and a Beauty Bag,” she said. “All the bags are tailored with vitamins/aminos/antioxidants to assist in whatever aliment we’re treating. I also offer a basic infusion of normal saline, which is the building block of all the drips.”

“Clients also have the option to add on medications such as Zofran (for nausea), Ketorlac (for pain), famotidine (for heartburn), and glutathione, an important antioxidant to help combat free radicals,” she added. “I also offer B-12 injections which help individuals with energy levels, brain function, boosting mood, improving metabolism, and weight loss.”

With back-to-school and flu and cold season on the horizon, Royer said the popular immunity boost will become increasingly popular as fall progresses.

“A lot of clients like to utilize this infusion before travel and on a routine basis to help prevent sickness before it happens,” she said.

Drip I.V. is an on-call service, but Royer also plans to offer services at Wildflower Salon and Spa in Stanfield one to two days a week for clients who would rather not do infusions at home. Additionally, she hopes to expand her menu soon.

“What is being offered is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to infusion therapy,” she said. “I’d also love to focus more on events. My goal for next summer is to offer infusions at Whiskey Fest, Farm City Pro-Rodeo and (the Pendleton) Round-Up.”

Royer has a strong reason for her new business venture. Not only did she suffer the traumatic loss of a stillborn child in December 2022 that gave her a new perspective, that loss also bolstered a strong desire within her to help others in need.

“My partner and I welcomed our son, Miles, into this world, stillborn. Truly the worst experience we could’ve ever been through as a family. Going through that changed my perspective on life, immensely. I didn’t want to just be content with life, I wanted to challenge myself, take risks, and trust that God would use our son’s short life to make a difference where we could,” she said. “I’ve always been a believer in holistic and functional medicine. My goal is to help the community towards a healthier lifestyle, avoid an ER visit, and bring a new service to the area. The benefits of IV vitamin hydration are numerous.”

Although Royer is the face of Drip I.V., she operates under Joanne Lewis, FNP, as her signing medical director.
