The Seattle Mariners and San Francisco Giants, partners on many swaps in recent years, officially made their biggest trade yet.

The Mariners sent right-handed pitcher Robbie Ray to the Giants in exchange for outfielder Mitch Haniger and left-handed pitcher Anthony DeSclafani, the team announced Friday.

Robbie Ray joins the Giants’ starting rotation already featuring veterans Logan Webb, Alex Cobb and promising 22-year-old left-hander Kyle Harrison.
