Brass Fire Band will ignite Grooving for a Cause to benefit the Pacific Northwest Veterans Alliance. The fundraiser is Jan. 20 in the banquet room at Quality Inn, 705 Willamette Ave., Umatilla.

The event begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. with drinks catered by Midway Bar & Grill and a loaded potato bar. The music cranks up at 6 p.m.

A nonperishable food drive will include activities hosted by the National Honor Society and Key Club from Irrigon High School. The event features a bake sale, food and games for all ages on Jan. 18, 6-8 p.m. at the Irrigon Event Pavilion, 420 NE Main Ave.

Semi-private party room rentals for up to 50 people are available with shared access to Rec It Arena inflatable fun and activities at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road, Hermiston. The room reservation fee is $125 (plus a $50 refundable deposit).

Available 2-hour time slots include Jan. 19, 5-7 p.m.; Jan 20, 1-3 p.m. or 4-6 p.m.; and Jan. 21, 2-4 p.m. Renters can arrive 20 minutes early for setup and have 20 minutes for cleanup after their playtime. Tables, chairs and cleaning supplies are provided.
