The Los Angeles Clippers are set to get a shiny new arena in the near future, and now the NBA has given them the perfect event to christen it.
The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be played at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., the league and team announced Tuesday afternoon. It will follow the 2024 and 2025 All-Star Games in Indianapolis and San Francisco, to be hosted by the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors.
“We are building Intuit Dome to house and showcase the best basketball players in the world, and we are honored they will all be under our roof for NBA All-Star,” Clippers owner Steve Ballmer said. “Along with Inglewood and Los Angeles, we thank the NBA for bringing the league’s marquee event to Intuit Dome in 2026.”
This will mark the seventh time the NBA All-Star Game has been held in the Los Angeles metro area, joining 1963, 1972, 1983, 2004, 2011 and 2018. Notably, it will be the first hosted by the Clippers alone; the junior Los Angeles team has shared the Crypto.com Arena with the Los Angeles Lakers since the 2000 season.
Ground was broken on the Intuit Dome, which is expected to cost in the neighborhood of $2 billion, in Sept. 2021.
The arena, which will open in August, will be the first exclusive home of the Clippers since the team left the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in 1999.
